Hello all!
I haven’t forgotten my blog posts, just covered up with the holidays. I am starting new this year with a new blog format. It’s a love me blog. First I was going to transfer everthing to Blogspot.com, then I decided that was too much trouble. So I did start one with just artworks for sale. So after that I decided to reformat this blog instead. The posts will mostly be about me and my artwork, my classes and a few new happenings along the way….especially this spring. As I looked back over this years blog posts, I see I really didn’t focus to much on new projects or commissions, and actually that is what I am all about. I just love to work. So anyway, I think you will enjoy looking forward to reading a little more and learning just what goes into my work. It ain’t for whimps.
I am dying to get a hammer and hardie! I really, really need one oh mosaic gods. Anyway, I know I can create better with the set. Hopefully soon.
So, please look for new stuff here. Maybe I can drum up some real exciting stuff. At least I will think it is exciting. (You can humor me and tell me you like it.) I might even have a drawing from time to time.
Thanks for stopping by and look again soon for new posts.
Happy New Year and thank you all for your support.
Laura.
I loved this little video!

This has been a dream of Michele’s for quite sometime. It’s so exciting to see her dream come true. These photos are of th factory NOT the school.
Professional artists, photographers, gardeners, chefs, and even hosts trying to set a pretty table will welcome this handsome exploration of design principles. Through hundreds of photographs and accessible text, even the most abstract design concepts—such as rhythm and balance—become easy to visualize and understand. Find out how to manipulate visual elements, work within the design space, create attractive symmetrical arrangements, establish a focal point, and more. Examples of good design range from ceramics, jewelry, architecture, and painting to clothing, hair styling, gardening, sushi, and vintage movie posters. Plus, guided exercises help users grasp each principle.

It’s been awhile since I posted about Kg Studios –and looking back at their link, I found it didn’t take you to their site. I wanted to post it again because I think she does such fun work. I am a sucker for animal art. Enjoy!
