Hello all!

I haven’t forgotten my blog posts, just covered up with the holidays.  I am starting new this year with a new  blog format.  It’s a love me blog.  First I was going to transfer everthing to Blogspot.com, then I decided that was too much trouble.  So I did start one with just artworks for sale.  So after that I decided to reformat this blog instead.   The posts will mostly be about me and my artwork, my classes and a few new happenings along the way….especially this spring.  As I looked back over this years blog posts, I see I really didn’t focus to much on new projects or commissions, and actually that is what I am all about.  I just love to work.  So anyway, I think you will enjoy looking forward to reading a little more and learning just what goes into my work.  It ain’t for whimps.

I am dying to get a hammer and hardie!  I really, really need one oh mosaic gods.  Anyway, I know I can create better with the set.  Hopefully soon.

So, please look for new stuff here.  Maybe I can drum up some real exciting stuff.  At least I will think it is exciting.  (You can humor me and tell me you like it.) I might even have a drawing from time to time.

Thanks for stopping by and look again soon for new posts.

Happy New Year and thank you all for your support.

Laura.

As seen in the 205 beautiful color photos, a wide variety of forms and colors are available, produced by many skilled glass artists. Tiles are displayed both close up to reveal their individual beauty and installed to show ways in which these versitile tiles can be used. The engaging text provides details of tile colors, textures, finishes, patterns, sizes, shapes, and styles, providing the reader with many ideas for interior decoration. Quickly discover that bathroom tile is not just for the shower! Whether you fancy a kitchen in the Modern, Traditional, Art Deco, Contemporary, Lodge, or American Country style, glass tiles are readily available to suite your taste! Mosaic Art and Style: Designs for Living Environments
New in Paperback! Mosaic ideas for every room If you can’t get inspired from this book – I just give up!
Mosaic Art and Style is a celebration of how mosaics can be integrated into our environments. Author JoAnn Locktov explores our fascination with mosaic art and illustrates how artists have crafted architectural installations as well as decorative and functional objects that have added immeasurably to living spaces. Readers will enjoy seeing how mosaic art can be applied to every surface imaginable. Mosaic Art and Style tells the story of how the projects were conceived and fabricated from the artists’ points of view.

Locktov has forged special relationships with a multitude of artists, who have allowed her to feature their work in Mosaic Art and Style. Through these relationships, she takes the reader into the world of the artist and gives readers a behind-the-scenes pass into the artists’ workshops, where she shares their personal thoughts about the creation and inspiration that imbues their work.
